Philadelphia Freedom Fall Invitational

October 29, 2017:

TEAMS - 2022 Blue

In a driving rain FCA 2022 Blue faced NXT in its first game and had a nice win to start the day. The second matchup of the day saw the 22s face-off against Philadelphia Freedom in a game that quickly turned the way of the Freedom as the Philly team dominated play with good offense, strong face-offs, and exceptional ground ball play. In a tie-breaker FCA was awarded a chance at redemption in the playoffs. They took on the Dukes in a matchup that sent the winner to play the Freedom. In a tight game with the Dukes, FCA was able to eek out a one goal victory that propelled them forward for one more game on this dreary day. The players accepted the challenge and applied some adjustments to the game plan to secure a victory in the Championship for a tremendous team win. In the finale it was FCA with a good offense, strong face-offs and exceptional ground ball play!

However, it was not only the players battling the rain, the parents through many layers dealt with the weather. Soaking wet those supporting on Sunday received the Word of the Day received was SALT and LIGHT The message is to be the SALT of the earth and the LIGHT of the world (Matthew 5:13-16). We are all blessed to be able to represent our club and be a light to the lacrosse culture for Jesus Christ. All in all, a great performance by our 2022 Blue Team toughing it out on the field and through rain.
